Fourth & Goal

Are you a GED® test taker who is just shy short of the finish line end zone when it comes to passing your fourth and final test? We can help!

If you’re ready to get back in the game, Clay Pots provides classes, tutoring, and covers the cost of the fourth and final GED® exam, thanks to the Maryland Department of Labor’s 4th & Goal Program. We also offer free GED® classes that prepare you to take the exam if you’re first starting out.

No matter your age, education can unlock the door to higher earnings and a future career. When adults earn their high school diploma, it’s a winning moment for them, their children, and their communities!

Why Get the GED®?

A high school diploma or its equivalent is a minimum requirement for many entry-level jobs. Without it, your options are often limited to positions that may not provide long-term growth or financial ability. Higher earnings also provide the stability needed to pay bills, afford housing, and feel confidence for the future.

For example, the average weekly take home pay for someone without a high school diploma is $806. For someone with a high school diploma, that number increases to $994. That $190 difference per week adds up to almost $10,000 in earnings missed out per year.

A GED is a doorway to further education and training — whether that’s higher education, a technical training program, or a career certificate.

What Does the GED® Measure?

It is designed to measure your knowledge in four areas: math, language arts, science, and social studies.

Science
Language Arts
Social Studies
